The best reviews to use when it comes to choosing a web host are the reviews that highlight both the positive and the negative aspects of the company. The best place to find these reviews are on web hosting forums, where anyone can post anything they want. Very few, if any, of these reviews will be over the top with positive information about the company. Most often than not, the posts will read in a format that goes something like: positive, positive, positive
but just these one or two negatives.  

If you can, find a positive review from one website and a negative review from another. Compare them. Decide whether or not you feel the reviews are reliable, truthful reviews or if they are scripted reviews. Research and investigation both play very important roles when it comes to making a decision regarding your web hosting service provider, so try to read and understand everything; including the small print.
